Born in a lower middle class family in the city of Recife, the son of a seamstress mother who never finished high school and a father who never went to college, I always tried to create my own opportunities, taking initiatives to build my own success.
At the age of 16, I studied in a private school through a scholarship. At the age of 18 I passed entrance exams at state and national universities in Brazil. At the age of 20, without ever taking an English course in my life, I took the TOEFL test and did my first exchange at the University of Texas in Houston, USA. At the age of 23 I graduated in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco. At the age of 24 I was approved for PhD (without even having a Master's) at Indiana University and Columbia University in the city of New York, USA. At the age of 25 I did a summer internship at FujiXerox, in the Sillicon Valley. At the age of 26 I gave up my PhD studies and returned to Brasil with a Master's degree in Computer Science, because I had the dream of creating my own startup. At the age of 26 I wanted to learn about management, so I entered the job market in a Big Four Consulting Firm , Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. At the age of 27 I opened my Startup , Ti.Saúde , capturing investment in less than 6 months of LLC, and today we are present in all states of Brazil. In 2022, Ti.Saúde was acquired by DPSP Group, 2nd largest drugstore chain in Brazil (with more than 1600 stores), owner of the brands Drogaria São Paulo e Drogarias Pacheco.
